Thanks for making 2025 our best year yet

Electrify Everything Minnesota was created to help residents electrify their homes in a way that works for them. As we reflect on this year and plan for 2026, we’re pleased to share that this has been the program’s best year to date. We’re sharing more about what we accomplished, including quotes from residents we’ve spoken to, in our end-of-year recap.

Reminder: Electric space heating rates available now

Xcel Energy customers whose primary heating source is electric are eligible for a reduced rate during the winter. If you have an electric system like an air source heat pump, the reduced rate will apply to all the electricity you use from October 1 to May 31. Contact Xcel Energy for more information and to sign up.

Weatherize your home this winter

If you’ve noticed your home is less comfortable in the winter, you may need more weatherization. Weatherizing is the process of insulating your home and sealing any small holes, gaps, or cracks where cold air can enter. Not only will this make the temperatures in your home more even, it will also reduce energy use and save you money. If you plan to electrify your home’s heating, weatherization is a good first step to make sure your system works effectively.
